2025 Barbara Bush Stamps, Sheet of 20

Barbara Bush Forever® stamps honor the life and legacy of former First Lady Barbara Bush (1925–2018) — wife of the 41st President George H. W. Bush, First Lady of the United States from 1989 to 1993, and mother of the 43rd President George W. Bush.

The matriarch of one of the most successful political families in U.S. history, Mrs. Bush was a tireless advocate for literacy. Her plainspoken style and sharp sense of humor earned her respect across party lines and throughout the nation.

The stamp art features a detail from the official 2005 White House oil-on-canvas portrait of Mrs. Bush by artist Chas Fagan. She is depicted wearing a purple top and black jacket, along with one of her signature multi-strand pearl necklaces. Art director Derry Noyes designed the stamp.

The Barbara Bush stamp is issued in panes of 20 Forever® stamps. Each Forever stamp is equal in value to the current First-Class Mail® one-ounce rate.
